Basic Information to Get Started on Adopting a Kitten:
*Kittens are neutered or spayed prior to going home.
Health Guarantee:
* 1 year guarantee on the kitten's health. All parents are negative on HCM and genetic defects.
* Trupanion Medical Insurance is offered for one month on kittens! The first 30 days after you pick up your kitten is covered. You can continue coverage if you wish (you call and set up the coverage) or if you do nothing the coverage simply ends.
*Crescent Moon Cat's kittens are vaccinated against the Feline Rhinotracheitis Virus, Feline Panleukopenia, and Calicivirus. Kittens are kept up to date on vaccines as well as monitored by the breeder and a veterinarian while growing. As a basic precaution, kittens are dewormed as well. Each kitten will be spayed or neutered and healed from surgery before being sent home. You will be notified when kittens are ready to go home.
- Each kitten is personally vet checked numerous times before being sent home.
- Parents are all fully genetically tested.
- A history of health (vaccination records) is given at time of sale.
- Kitten updates will be supplied to buyer as kitten grows and is continually vet checked until the kitten is of age to go home.
- Kittens are guaranteed against FELV & FIV at time of purchase.
- The buyer is expected to take the kitten to their vet within 3 days of picking up the kitten for a check up and individualized care recommendations.
- In the unlikely event of the kitten proving to be unhealthy upon purchase, another kitten/s will be offered by the breeder and picked by the buyer.
- Kittens have 30 days of free health insurance coverage included through Trupanion.
Steps to Reserve and Purchase a Devon Rex Kitten:
***Pet Kitten Prices : Prices range from $ 2,000-$ 2,500 based on genetic attributes and parents as is the case with many breeds of animals.
Watch for when kittens are expected. Available kittens will be posted online. Waitlist is only kept at a small number of approved people.
1.Fill out a Kitten Application Form (button on top of this page) to show interest and be approved. You will be contacted as soon as possible via email if approved. After approval, you will be contacted about reserving a kitten or informed regarding what upcoming litters are expected. Sometimes it may take a while for me to get back to you due to taking care of kittens, cats, answering other kitten inquiries and working with my kitten parents.
2. To reserve a kitten, a nonrefundable deposit of $ 500.00 is required to hold the kitten (after your kitten form is approved). This deposit is applied towards the overall payment of the kitten and the remainder of the payment is due when you pick up your kitten. The deposit can be sent as a check (if prior arrangements are made), cash, Venmo, Cash App or Zelle. Once the deposit is received, you will get confirmation on your deposit and your reservation or litter.
3.While you are waiting for your kitten to be old enough to go home, I will give weekly updates and pictures along with advice on how to take care of your new baby. All kittens will be litter boxed trained, eating both wet and dry food and visiting the vet for vaccinations and wellness checks. You may want to follow on Instagram to see kittens and cats from the cattery and later give updates on your fur baby!
4. A sales contract is generated prior to kitten pick-up/transport. I usually send out the contract three-four weeks after the kitten is born.
Buyer Agrees To:
- All kittens will remain at the approved kitten parent's residence (unless communicated and agreed to another home).
- Again, the buyer is expected to take the kitten to their vet within 3-4 days of picking up the kitten for check up and individualized care recommendations.
- Buyer agrees not to declaw the kitten/cat. Buyer will sign agreement in contract.
- Buyer agrees to provide a safe and loving environment for the kitten (later cat) while providing necessary nutritional, stimulation and veterinary care. The kitten/s will have regular human interaction and possibly with another feline or pet.
